VHF-90M 25 Watt Manportable Package
The VHF-90M Manpack Package is a military grade portable communication set specifically designed for tactical applications. It is designed to withstand complete immersion, vibration, drop and temperature extremes to Mil-Std 810F.
The core of the MX9714 system is the VHF-90M transceiver which is an extremely compact and light weight unit, featuring only essential controls to ensure ease of operation in combat situations. The VHF-90M is available with a secure, jam resistant ECCM Frequency Hopping and digital encryption option which can be field upgraded after the initial deployment.
The VDB-25M Docking Station provides convenient docking of the VHF-90M transceiver. The VHF-90M transceiver is plug and play compatible with Vehicular, Base Station and Manpack docking systems. This allows a high level of versatility allowing deployment in multi-role environments. The key user benefits minimised inventory and simplified operator training.
Auxiliary connectors are provided for data terminals, combat workstations, speakers and remote control facilities.
The integrated 25W Booster Amplifier provides range extension and increased link reliability. In the unlikely event of amplifier failure, the VDB-25M has a pass-through mode to ensure continuous communication at lower power levels. The amplifier automatically selects the correct filter based on the selected frequency in the VHF- 90M. The VDB-25M has a built in self test featurewith status indication on the transceiver display.
The VDB-25M is mounted on a lightweight framed backpack which is ergonomically designed for comfort when worn for long periods of time. Using modern radio frequency design techniques the system is one of the smallest VHF platforms available at this power level.System Features
