HF-90M 150W Military Grade Vehicle Package
The HF-90M 150Watt Vehicle Package is a military grade mobile communication set specifically designed for wheeled or tracked tactical vehicles. The system complies with complete immersion, vibration, drop and temperature tests to Mil- Std 801F.
The core of the system is the HF-90M transceiver which is an extremely compact and light weight unit, featuring only essential controls to ensure ease of operation in combat situations. The HF-90M is available with a secure, jam-resistant ECCM Frequency Hopping option which can be field upgraded after the initial deployment.
The HF-150M 150W Booster Amplifier provides range extension and increased link reliability in conjunction with the external Q-MAC vehicle whip antenna system and TA-91 ATU. In the event of failure, the HF-150M has a pass-through mode to ensure continuous communication at lower power levels. The HF-150M amplifier automatically selects the correct filter based on the selected frequency in the HF-90M. The HF-150M has a built in self test, with status indicator on the front panel. An auxiliary connector is provided for peripherals such as external speaker or integration with a vehicular harness system as part of a multi-radio combat net configuration.
The TA-91 is a fully automatic antenna tuner capable of continuous 150 Watt operation between 2-30MHz. Once connected to the HF-150 Amplifier no user operation is required to optimize communications with the HF Whip Antenna system. The TA-91 is compatible with the HF-90M Frequency Hopping Option.
Mounting
The HF-150M and TA-91M have fixing points for anti-vibration mounts. Using modern radio frequency design techniques the overall size of the system makes it one of the smallest HF platforms available making it particularly suited to vehicles where space is at a premium.
