Antenna Systems
Q-MAC provides a range of high performance antennas to complement its range of HF and VHF transceivers.
Q-MAC's antennas and system components are suitable for both military and commercial applications, in manportable, manpack, mobile and base station configurations. The range includes broadband, whip antennas and wire antennas; manual and automatic antenna tuners; amplifiers; and accessories.
As well as conventional antennas, Q-MAC also provides the ML-91 NVIS Roof Rack Antenna for HF transceivers.
The ML-91 is an innovative vehicle loop antenna which is, without doubt, the best type of antenna for vehicular NVIS (Near Vertical Incidence Skywave) operations. The ML-91 is effective in overcoming the skip zone common in HF whip based antenna systems. With the correct selection of frequency, it provides virtually continuous coverage from 0 to 1000km or more.
Q-MAC's ML-91 is available in versions compatible with other manufacturer’s transceivers up to 125W, including:

- Barrett Communications 950™ & 2050™ Series
- Icom ICF 7000™
Other transceivers can be provided on request. Complete packages including the ML-91 and Q-MAC’s HF-90 transceiver are also available as integrated systems.
